Salmon! It’s a versatile fish that can be grilled, poached, baked, broiled, made into patties, etc etc. Well, even though it’s versatile, a lot of people don’t know how to season this tasty omega-3 loaded fish….so I decided to post the seasoning blend that we use most at my house. This is our go-to salmon rub! In it you’ll find garlic, sugar, paprika, chili powder, ginger, and more! The sugar plays off so nicely with the flavor of the fish and spices. When cooked, the sugar creates a tasty crust on the outside of the fish, locking in the juices that keep it succulently moist. Mmm. So yeah…try it out!

2 tablespoons raw sugar (or brown sugar)

2 teaspoons paprika

1 ½ teaspoon chili powder

1 teaspoon garlic powder

½ teaspoon ground cinnamon

½ teaspoon mustard powder

½ teaspoon ground ginger

½ teaspoon salt

1/8 teaspoon black pepper

Mix together all the seasonings until thoroughly combined.

Coat salmon filets on all sides (other than skin). Then bake, grill, or broil until fully cooked.

Enjoy!
