Growing up, I wasn’t a fan of tomatoes…so this is my twist on the classic B.L.T. I take sugar roasted bacon, top it with crisp Boston lettuce, and creamy brie for the perfect comfort-food sandwich.
4 slices of bacon
1 tablespoon light brown sugar
2 leaves of butter lettuce
3 thin slices of brie cheese
1 tablespoon Apple Onion Compote
2 slices of bread
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Place the bacon on a baking sheet, sprinkle with the brown sugar, and bake until crisp (12-15 minutes). While it bakes, wash lettuce and grab two slices of bread. On one slice of bread, spread the apple onion compote with a layer of brie. Top with the bacon and lettuce before adding the other piece of bread. Cut in half and enjoy!
