Sometimes even cooking-addicts need a break! When this happens to me, I like to chop up a head of lettuce, and just sprinkle it with a few seasonings and cheese. It’s pretty much the simplest recipe you could ever ask for. It’s not fancy, but I really do make this weekly.
1 head of romaine lettuce (chopped)
3-5 basil leaves
½ teaspoon garlic powder
2.5 tablespoons ranch dressing
2.5 tablespoons parmesan cheese (shredded)
Salt and pepper to taste
In a large mixing bowl, add the chopped lettuce. Tear and add in the basil. Sprinkle with garlic powder – toss so everything is coated. Add the ranch and toss again. Add the cheese and toss.
Serve and enjoy!
