Everyone has a busy schedule, that’s nothing new. But what do you do when you want a succulent meal, have no cash, and no desire to cook after work? This recipe is something you can throw in your slow cooker, go to work, come home and eat immediately. I got the idea to do this from French onion soup, and decided to make it super hearty by making meat be the focus. The bread is great here – not only does it sop up all the juices, but you can also use it as your utensil! Just toast it first! My parents love this dish, so hopefully you will too!

1 ½ lbs London broil

1 onion

1 red onion

¾ cup red wine

1 garlic clove (chopped)

1 ½ teaspoon dried thyme

Salt and pepper to taste

½ loaf of Italian bread or baguette

Sprinkle the London broil with salt and pepper. Put into your slow cooker.

Cut the onions in half and then slice. Add the onion slices to the slow cooker.

Pour in the red wine, add the chopped garlic, thyme, and another pinch of salt and pepper.

Cover everything and cook on low for around 7 hours.

Serve hot with bread.

Enjoy!
