When you’re craving something sweet, what’s better than a sugary smoky crunch?! A candied nut is a great way to up the elegance factor for any of your dinner parties. Toss into salads or keep on hand to munch on…you definitely will not have leftovers for long!
1 cup walnuts
½ cup sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
Place a small saucepan stovetop over medium-high heat.
Add the walnuts, sugar, and cinnamon into the pan. Stir constantly as the sugar melts, coating and toasting the walnuts at the same time. When the sugar is a light brown liquid, remove from the heat and pour onto a parchment paper lined sheet. Allow to cool completely.
When cooled, serve in salads or as a garnish for soups. Also great for snacking!
